Natalie Brunell, the host of Coin Stories and Hard Money show, recently shared her experiences meeting with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, a Bitcoin maximalist. Despite feeling tense prior to the meeting, Brunell was surprised by Bukele’s warm and humble demeanor. She was particularly impressed by his knowledge of Bitcoin and his desire to bring positive change to El Salvador by expanding monetary freedom.

Brunell took an unconventional approach to secure the meeting with Bukele. She used the power of memes, jokingly suggesting that Bitcoiners would all end up working at McDonald’s when the price of Bitcoin dropped. She put out a call on Twitter asking which McDonald’s she could find Bukele at, and to her surprise, it worked. This unique strategy highlights the power of social media in connecting individuals and facilitating important discussions.

Brunell’s background as an investigative journalist covering public corruption and manipulation in politics made her naturally skeptical of politicians. However, she recognizes the trustless nature of Bitcoin, which eliminates the need to rely on politicians. She commends Bukele for choosing to make Bitcoin legal tender and protect it in El Salvador, seeing it as a powerful statement.

Brunell never expected her Twitter follower count to skyrocket the way it has. When she reached 100,000 followers, she was shocked and grateful. Her content primarily revolves around Bitcoin, including her opinions on the latest developments, video interviews with key figures in the space, and podcast episodes featuring prominent Bitcoiners. What sets her Twitter apart is the wholesome vibe and positive outlook she maintains. She aims to educate people about Bitcoin and discuss how it can solve societal issues.

When it comes to content she enjoys on Twitter, Brunell cites prominent Bitcoiners such as MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor, economist Lyn Alden, Bitcoin advocate Jeff Booth, and Bitcoin Fundamentals host Preston Pysh. She appreciates their generosity in sharing knowledge and finds Bitcoin memes clever and entertaining.

Regarding price predictions, Brunell anticipates that Bitcoin will face challenges in the next six to 12 months. However, she believes it will reach six figures and hit new all-time highs within the next 24 months. While many are eager for the return of the bull market, Brunell personally hopes for a delay as she wants to continue accumulating Bitcoin.

Brunell is particularly excited about the recent developments with Bitcoin ETFs. She notes that unlike previous entities applying for ETFs, respected institutions like BlackRock and Fidelity are involved this time. Their participation could create a major on-ramp for institutions and retail investors to easily gain exposure to Bitcoin.

Overall, Brunell’s journey as a Bitcoin enthusiast and social media influencer illustrates the power of connections and the growing interest in Bitcoin as a means of financial freedom and societal change.
