A start-up from Europe Just launching in Australia and focusing on the Gold Coast market. The hotel and resort promoter called Air U Hotels, the Airbnb and Uber of hotel bookings, is based on driving bookings to holiday let apartments and towers utilising a vast network of databases and marketing IP and branding. The Georgian based company from Batumi Georgia (the new Las Vegas of the Black Sea) has set up offices recently on the Gold Coast and is already signing up holiday let towers to be able to utilise Air U Hotel platforms and receive free marketing to drive bookings into the near-empty towers. A spokesperson for Air U Hotels, said they intended to launch here before the coronavirus hit, however now more than ever holiday let towers on the Gold Coast need urgent help at filling their rooms moving forward.
“As part of our launch offers, we are allowing the high-rise holiday let towers to use our services with no upfront fees and we simply charge a commission on a booking fee and can work on a non-exclusive basis to fill up any empty rooms they have. We are able to do this because we have large databases we market to, plus we add them to our platforms and third-party platforms using our marketing IP. It’s amazing how just sprucing up some rooms and improving the photos and customer service levels, and then segmenting the towers into appropriate branding levels that suit the quality of accommodation, can make a big difference to garnering more bookings. By doing this we can increase bookings at no upfront cost.
We also implement ideas that work well for the Hotel industry overseas that aren’t currently done here yet in Australia that can add as much as $6000 extra revenue per week to holiday let towers managers income.
Basically we are a resort marketing agency working for them on commission only and every holiday let building has empty rooms at the best of times, but at the moment any extra bookings make a massive difference to their bottom line.
We designed it to make it easy that apartment towers can sign up to be added to our platforms. And within a week we can be driving traffic and bookings for them on a non exclusive basis. Some holiday towers want us to work with them exclusively which we are happy to do also and also utilise some of our brandings to improve their product offering. The managers of the holiday let buildings continue to do check-in cleaning, customer service and maintenance. We simply are an extra booking agency that generates bookings on a commission basis and this improves the profitability for holiday let towers by increasing their revenues. We firstly have to inspect the apartments to ensure the quality is up to the branding levels we require. We have found that managers have been very happy to have someone assist and we will begin marketing on the Gold Coast this June 2020, before expanding to other cities. We will be using some new brands of hotels in Australia that suit both the Midmarket and also the 4-star market. We prefer apartment hotel options and why Meriton has done has been impressive creating a Brand that’s luxury accommodation re large size hotel rooms, without paying luxury prices.
At this stage, unlike an Airbnb platform we don’t take on individual apartment owners but we are acquiring a local Holiday let the company handle management of holiday houses and luxury apartments, as some guests want luxury houses to stay in or penthouses.
We will also offer in the future a full-service option where we provide staff to check-in guests etc but at this stage is easier for us to simply drive bookings and leave check-in and cleaning etc to the existing managers.
Our fees are reasonable and the same as most third-party platforms.
“We will take on a limited amount of towers per suburb,” the Air U spokesperson said.
She said our Reps will be dropping off info for holiday let towers in coming weeks on the Gold Coast or they can visit www.airuhotels.com to apply for the free upfront service to get more bookings.
