Israel has an obligation under the Geneva Conventions to protect the Palestinians under Israeli occupation, including that it cannot expel Palestinians from their land. Israel has never complied with these and other international laws. Israel’s claim to “self defence” is also false. Israel a) refuses to define its borders and b) Palestinians as a people under occupation have the right to resist the occupation. Good luck China in this initiative, but a so-called two state solution is an apartheid solution, which is a non-starter,. Israel is losing this war. A one democratic and secular state “from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean sea” is the alternative. If apartheid in South Africa was not acceptable to the international community, why should it be imposed on Palestinians?

So many heartless ”criminals” are claiming the moral high ground by citing ‘self defence’ , yet they are willing to remove the self defence viewpoints of an oppressed people living under Apartheid , as it does not suit their hypocritical narrative . Yes, China has done right by asking Israel to abide by international laws and the reason why some countries choose to remain neutral it’s because they don’t want to offend Uncle Sam, Germany for example. Germany is swimming in recession but will do whatever US says at the expense of their citizens.
