Is the Government Also Lying to Us About the Number Supposedly Vaxxinated?

Lots of conversation here regarding vaccine numbers being fudged. Just wanted to let you all know that I have been a programmer for 15 years and am more than capable of basic maths! Oh boy, maths.
Presuming the info about how many doses have been administered is true (this is a big presumption)….
The claim we’re disputing:
In Australia 83.5% of people over the age of 16 are fully vaccinated (double dosed).

37,846,128
Australian population:
25,704,340

Australian population aged between 0-14 years of age:
4,955,796 (19.28%)

Can’t seem to find out how many are between 15 and 16 years, but we can see from the source above that 15-64 years of age was 64.8% in 2019. Let’s take the difference (49 years) and average that to be fair to everyone:
64.8% of 25,704,340 = 16,656,412
÷ 49 = 339,926
x 2 = 679,852
(so this is like taking that number and saying that 2 49ths of it would be 15 and 16 years of age)
Still with me?
Total population over 16 available to be vaccinated:
25,704,340 (total pop) – 4,955,796 (0-14 years) – 679,852 (15 and 16 years) = 20,068,692
So let’s check the doses administered as a percentage!
18702525 ÷ 25704340 = 1.4723 x 100 = 147.23%
Woah, more than the population? Hold up, let’s consider that people need to be double dosed.
147.23 ÷ 2 = 73.61%
Right so, we’ve got 73.61% of people over the age of 16 years double dosed?
Not quite, some of those doses will have been administered to people UNDER 16 years of age, so the percentage of people potentially double dosed over 16 must be even lower than that…how much lower you ask? Well let’s find out.
4,955,796 (0-14 years) + 679,852 (15 and 16 years) = 5,635,648
As a percentage that’s 21.92% of the population!
So, the final results are in.
Maximum of 73.61% with a double dose and a minimum of 51.69% (over 16 years of age).
That’s interesting. I thought it was supposed to be 83.5%!?

Now let’s do Queensland!
The claim we’re disputing:
70.5% of people are fully vaccinated (double dosed).

Queensland population:

So let’s check the doses administered as a percentage!
2,760,030 ÷ 5,234,298 = 0.5272 x 100 = 52.72%
Now let’s consider that each of these has to be a double dose!
52.72 ÷ 2 = 26.36%
Uh-oh. Wasn’t that supposed to be 70.5%!? Not 26.36%.

Final note – if their official numbers are clearly bullshit, why believe anything you’re being told? Is it not possible that the government is lying? I mean…they’ve always been so truthful and honest in the past…
