A Queensland father has penned a moving final message to his “partner in crime” after she died suddenly while getting their son ready for his first day of school.
Lauren Watts, 40, died on Tuesday morning and has been remembered as a doting friend and mother-of-four who was “full of life and love”.
The exact circumstances of her death are yet to be revealed but husband Drew Duncan described it as sudden.
“My love, my partner in life, my partner in crime (before the kids came along) and amazing mum to our kids,” he said.
“Jimmy was so excited for his first day and so were you.”
Now, his family has been left reeling as it comes to terms with the tragedy.

Watts is survived by Duncan and their four children Olivia, Will, Jimmy, and Jude.
“You were the heart of our family, and kept it beating with your love. Unfortunately, I think you must have used up all of your own beats on everyone else,” Duncan said.
“You kept fighting for the best for all of us when crap cards kept getting dealt our way.”
Watts was passionate about everything she did and always put others before herself, Duncan said, as he pledged to raise their children the way Watts would have wanted.
“You worked harder than anyone should have to, to make our family, your career and our life together,” he said.
“We had more challenges than most, and met them head on together. I promise that I will nurture Olivia, Will, Jimmy and Jude to be the people we always dreamed they would become.
“Love you, baby. For ever and ever.”
Lauren Watts is survived by her husband Drew Duncan and their four children Olivia, Will, Jimmy, and Jude.
Friend Jacq Lawson said Watts was “full of life and love” and was someone who never stopped smiling despite being faced with difficult challenges.
“Drew and Lauren spent a lifetime together and built a wonderful family,” she wrote on social media.
“They stood together facing everything the world could throw at them.
“Drew not only lost his partner, but their 4 young children, Olivia, Will, Jimmy, and Jude, lost their wonderful mother.”
Lawson launched a GoFundMe for the family, saying Duncan was “overwhelmed” by the wave of kindness and love people had shown him since Watts died.
“He really wished Loz knew how loved she was by so many,” she said.
