You might want to consider that the media beatup about new “cases” has very little to do with what’s happening in reality.

Median age of death from Covid = 82. Average life span in Australia = 82.5.
So whilst you allow the media to scare you into thinking this is anything different to any regular flu (in fact its far less deadly), maybe start asking some new questions about why a country was shut down when over 60s could have been isolated and taken care, instead of everybody else who is not even at risk.
Ohh but Monty they didn’t know, better to be safe than sorry. Don’t be a cold heartless dick Monty!!! Well now they know, and Victoria is going to level 5. Why is this wave any different? Its only 80-year-olds dying who were statistically going to die in 6 months. Is that really worth the lockdowns? Really?????????
Ohh still better to be safe than sorry Monty. Let’s just deal with the aftermath of broken homes, mental illness, spike in sexual abuse, shattered economy, lost businesses, weakened immune systems and suicides later when we can see it.
Either something else is going on you and I don’t know about, or this is some extreme stupidity. Either way, it’s not protecting citizens!!!!
