Musk Sells $4BN in Tesla Stock after Twitter Deal
Elon Musk has reportedly sold a huge sum of stock from his electric vehicle giant – apparently to seal his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter.
The world’s richest man offloaded 4.4 million shares, United States securities filings show, roughly 2.6% of his stake at the company.
Musk later tweeted that no further Tesla sales were planned. Following the announcement of Musk’s Twitter buyout, Tesla’s stock dropped more than 12% – its biggest single-day fall in almost two years.
