Meta’s stock market value has slumped by more than $230bn. Let’s look at some recent news regarding censorship, the Metaverse, and the company’s close ties with government to see if these could be contributing factors, and whether this spells the beginning of the end for Facebook.

I’d say Facebook’s one-sided censorship, tagging posts with “fact checker” or other pop ups, putting people in “Facebook jail” for stupid reasons, etc. has made it a more toxic environment. That, and maybe the younger generation’s moving on from Facebook (any demographic info that may indicate this?) might figure into it as well. Has the loathing of Facebook admins increased over the years? Probably, as well as a decreasing desire to bother with it.

We, the ordinary people, can reclaim our power simply by refusing to participate in feeding these corporations trying to control us.I left FB, Insta and Twitter 2 years ago. The way Russell explains and drops these knowledge bombs is perfectly done. I watched his career from the early days, each time he progresses as a human and changes his strategy usually leaves me a bit gutted as i miss the old Russell.
