‘Toes in Sand’ Beach Bar Confirmed for Major Queensland Holiday Strip
By Gold Coast Review
A new beach bar concept has been given the green light to trial on the Gold Coast in December.
Visitors will have a ‘toes in the sand and cocktail in hand’ experience on Broadbeach, just in time for Christmas.
The temporary club will be trialled on the popular Gold Coast beach along Kurrawa Terrace from December 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.
It will include live music and entertainment, a licensed bar, kitchen, and beach equipment such as day beds, sun lounges and umbrellas.

The concept has been likened to ‘The Moseley Beach Club’ in Glenelg, South Australia where patrons are able to have a drink on the sand.
Gold coast locals have also given the trial their tick of approval, telling 7NEWS they think it’s a great idea.
“They have them all over the world, we go to Hawaii and love it there and I certainly think it will transform this space here,” a local told 7NEWS.
“But it will also provide more jobs and keep people happy.”
Standard council fees associated with the use of the area will be waived throughout the trial period and if all goes to plan the council plans to push for a longer trial.
