According to Apty Alaudinov, the commander of the Chechen special force ‘Akhmat’, Ukraine’s recent offensive against Russia has been unsuccessful in breaching the Russian defensive lines. In an interview with Russia 1 TV on Thursday, Alaudinov stated that the enemy, after reaching the first line of defense, has been unable to advance further. He emphasized that the Ukrainian forces do not possess the necessary resources and manpower to break through the Russian three echelons.

Speaking on the ’60 Minutes’ evening news show, Alaudinov noted that despite the Ukrainian forces’ attempts, they have not been able to pass the first line of defense in any sector. While there have been temporary occupations of certain areas, Alaudinov reiterated that these positions do not pose a strategic threat to Russia.

Expanding on his statements, Alaudinov shared on his Telegram channel that the Ukrainian presence near the destroyed Antonovsky Bridge in Kherson is merely a public relations stunt without significant military results. He also highlighted that Russian forces are systematically destroying the Ukrainian troops in that area.

The Ukrainian offensive, initially planned to begin in the spring, commenced on June 4 on the southern front. Kiev had hoped to achieve a battlefield victory before the July 11 NATO summit in Lithuania. However, the Ukrainian forces faced minefields, artillery fire, attack helicopters, and well-fortified infantry and tanks. Russian President Vladimir Putin has described the losses suffered by Ukraine as catastrophic and ten times greater than that of Russia.

During three weeks of intense fighting, the Ukrainian forces have suffered over 13,000 casualties, including the loss of numerous tanks and armored vehicles, many of which were supplied by Western countries. Aleksey Danilov, the head of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, acknowledged the difficulties of the ongoing conflict and requested patience from the Western nations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that his troops encountered tough resistance on the ground. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov characterized the attacks as a preparation operation rather than an all-out offensive.

It is important to note that this news article is based on information provided by Apty Alaudinov, a commander of a Chechen special force. The perspective presented in the article may reflect the views of the Russian government. Independent verification of the claims made by Alaudinov is necessary to attain a comprehensive understanding of the situation.

As the conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues, it remains a highly volatile and fluid situation. Both sides are engaged in a battle for territory and influence, and the human cost of this conflict is undeniably high. The international community is closely monitoring the developments and attempting to find a diplomatic solution to de-escalate the tensions between the two nations.
