In a recent interview on Fox News, Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, made some questionable statements that can be proven false. It’s no surprise, as Paul Ryan has essentially turned the network into a DeSantis Super PAC, providing him with unwavering support and a platform to spread his lies.

During the interview, Jesse Watters asked DeSantis about his alleged disloyalty towards former President Trump. DeSantis responded by saying, “Disloyal to who? Politicians have to EARN support. They’re not entitled to support. I did a lot for him in 2016 and 2020, by the way.” However, documented evidence proves otherwise.

In 2016, DeSantis issued a statement, not an endorsement, once Trump had secured enough delegates to become the Republican nominee. The statement simply acknowledged that with the exit of Ted Cruz and John Kasich from the race, it was clear that Trump would accumulate the necessary delegates to secure the nomination. This falls far short of an endorsement or any meaningful support for Trump.

This discrepancy was pointed out by Roger Stone, a political strategist and longtime Trump ally, who tweeted, “Congressman Ron DeSantis refused to endorse @realDonaldTrump even AFTER Trump was the nominee of the Republican Party for President in 2016. Add LIAR to the list of character flaws of the #FloridaFugazi #Ingrate.”

Moreover, DeSantis had very little political clout in Florida before Trump endorsed him. It is mathematically impossible for him to have had any significant impact on the 2016 election. While DeSantis did speak at Trump rallies during the 2020 election, it is important to note that people attended those rallies to see Donald Trump, not Ron DeSantis. In fact, DeSantis and former Vice President Mike Pence had some awkward moments on the campaign trail in 2020, suggesting that DeSantis may have even hurt Trump’s campaign efforts.

It is also worth mentioning that when allegations of massive fraud arose during the 2020 election, DeSantis was nowhere to be found. Instead, he was dining with Rupert Murdoch, the president of Fox News. During that meeting, Murdoch reportedly offered his support to DeSantis for a potential run in the 2024 presidential election.

All these facts paint a concerning picture of DeSantis riding Trump’s coattails to prominence while actively opposing the principles of the MAGA movement every step of the way. His alleged disloyalty and false claims of support for Trump undermine his credibility and raise doubts about his true intentions.

In addition to these issues, a separate report has emerged claiming that DeSantis’ press secretary has been using a burner account to attack Trump supporters. This accusation further adds to the growing concerns about DeSantis’ true loyalty and commitment to the values of the conservative base.

In conclusion, Ron DeSantis’s claims of support for Trump are far from accurate, and the evidence points to a pattern of opportunism rather than genuine loyalty. As his alliance with Fox News continues to bolster his image, it is essential to scrutinize his actions and statements to get a clear understanding of his true agenda.
