Video footage has resurfaced featuring Congressman Ron DeSantis complimenting Robert Mueller’s anti-Trump investigation and arrests. This revelation raises questions about DeSantis’ commitment to opposing the Mueller investigation, despite having the power to do so during his time in Congress. It suggests that DeSantis was, in fact, a lackey for Paul Ryan.
During an interview with Fox News, DeSantis echoed the Deep State’s narrative that Russia had stolen the election from Hillary Clinton. He stated, “I personally believe the intel report and the indictments are credible.” This statement aligns with the ongoing Mueller investigation and contradicts the claims made by President Trump and his supporters.
It should be noted that at the time of these remarks, DeSantis was a member of the influential House Foreign Affairs Committee. This position granted him access to information that could have potentially discredited the Deep State’s assertions about Russia-Trump collusion. This means that DeSantis had the opportunity to initiate a serious effort in Congress to defund the Mueller Investigation, which could have potentially alleviated pressure on President Trump’s administration. However, instead of taking action, DeSantis opted to follow the orders of then-Speaker Paul Ryan.
Paul Ryan, a staunch supporter of the Mueller Probe, made it clear in a 2017 interview with Chris Wallace that Congress would not interfere with the investigation. Ryan stated, “We’re not going to interfere with his [Mueller’s] investigation. The investigation will take its course, and we will let it take its course.” This support from Ryan is significant since he was the Speaker of the House and held considerable influence over the Republican Party’s agenda.
DeSantis’ failure to challenge the Mueller Investigation in Congress demonstrated to Ryan that he could be trusted to follow orders. This has undoubtedly played a role in Ryan’s unwavering support for DeSantis. Frank Luntz, a friend and ally of Ryan, revealed Ryan’s top three picks for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, which included DeSantis in the top spot. This endorsement from Ryan, a prominent figure within the Republican Party, further solidifies DeSantis’ standing as a potential contender for the next presidential election.
It is worth noting that Ryan’s influence extends beyond his public endorsement. As a board member for Fox News, he has reportedly played a significant role in shaping the network’s coverage, effectively turning it into what some critics have referred to as the “DeSantis News Network.” Ryan’s close affiliation with DeSantis suggests he sees the Florida governor as the best chance for the globalist agenda to prevail in the 2024 election.
In light of these revelations, it is clear that DeSantis’ previous remarks about the Mueller investigation raise concerns about his commitment to President Trump and his conservative base. The support and endorsement from Paul Ryan, coupled with his influence over Fox News, further add to the suspicion that DeSantis may not align with the America First movement. As the 2024 presidential race ramps up, voters will undoubtedly scrutinize DeSantis’ actions and alliances closely to determine whether he is truly the candidate they can trust to uphold their values.
