It is worth noting that Paxton defeated George P. Bush, a member of the Bush family, in the Texas GOP AG primary in 2022.
Loomer has shared a photo of the flyer for the upcoming DeSantis fundraiser, where Dick Weekley is identified as a member of the host committee. Loomer emphasizes Weekley’s role in supporting the recent push to impeach Paxton. According to records, Weekley donated $25,000 to Dade Phelan, and his organization, Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC, also contributed the same amount to Phelan’s campaign.
