Israel’s Shin Bet security service and Police force recently conducted joint interrogations with six Hamas terrorists from Gaza who were involved in the destruction and mass murder incident that occurred on October 7, 2023. The footage from these interrogations, which was released on Monday, provides disturbing details about the motives and plans behind the attacks.
During the interrogations, Israeli intelligence forces identified several common themes among the terrorists’ accounts. One particularly shocking revelation was the existence of an incentive structure for the terrorists. According to one of the Hamas terrorists, each individual who successfully brought a hostage back to Gaza was promised a reward of $10,000 and an apartment. This suggests a deliberate and coordinated effort to kidnap civilians, with monetary rewards serving as an additional motivation.
Furthermore, the terrorists were explicitly instructed to target the most vulnerable members of society, including the elderly, women, and children. This flagrantly violates international law and human rights, as it deliberately puts innocent civilians at risk.

Additionally, the terrorists admitted to taking selfies with a 15-year-old girl they had kidnapped and engaging in the despicable act of reshooting victims even after they had already been killed. One of the terrorists recalled shooting a woman’s lifeless body, with the group’s commander reprimanding him for “wasting bullets on a corpse.”
In a chilling discovery, it was revealed that the senior commanders of Hamas’ military wing (those above the rank of MP) purposefully stayed behind, protected their apartments, and remained in hiding, while sending their subordinates to fight, risk their lives, or be captured in Israel. This cowardly behavior showcases a lack of leadership and a willingness to sacrifice lower-ranking members for personal gain.
This evidence sheds light on the depths of Hamas’ cruel tactics and disregard for human life. The testimonies of the terrorists highlight a calculated and premeditated strategy aimed at creating fear and chaos.
