Former champion Madison Keys is set to face off against No. 9 seed Daria Kasatkina in the final of the Rothesay International tournament in Eastbourne, England. Keys, who won her first title at the grass-court event back in 2014 as a 19-year-old, secured her spot in the final with an impressive upset against No. 5 seed Coco Gauff in the semifinals.

In a match that lasted just 81 minutes, Keys dominated Gauff with a 6-3, 6-3 victory. Her powerful performance showcased her skills on the grass court and demonstrated that she is a force to be reckoned with. Keys’ confidence and experience will serve as an advantage as she prepares to face Kasatkina in the championship match.

With a career record of 8-2 against Kasatkina, Keys has the upper hand in their head-to-head matchups. However, Kasatkina has emerged victorious in two of their last three encounters, making this final an intriguing battle between two talented players. Kasatkina’s road to the final was also impressive, as she converted all seven break points in her semifinal match against Italy’s Camila Giorgi, resulting in a 6-2, 7-5 victory.

Meanwhile, in Bad Homburg, Germany, the final of the tournament will feature Lucia Bronzetti of Italy and Katerina Siniakova from the Czech Republic. Bronzetti advanced to the final through a walkover when World No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland withdrew from their semifinal due to an illness. This unexpected turn of events allowed Bronzetti to secure her spot in the championship match without having to step foot on the court.

On the other hand, Siniakova had a much more eventful journey to the final. She first had to complete a quarterfinal match that was suspended due to darkness. Siniakova showcased her determination and resilience as she managed to secure a come-from-behind victory against No. 2 seed Liudmila Samsonova of Russia, winning with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. Following her quarterfinal triumph, she swiftly defeated unseeded American Emma Navarro in the semifinals in just 66 minutes, with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 performance.

The stage is set for an exciting finale in both Eastbourne and Bad Homburg. Tennis fans can expect a thrilling showdown between Madison Keys and Daria Kasatkina as they battle for the Rothesay International title. In Bad Homburg, Lucia Bronzetti and Katerina Siniakova will go head-to-head to claim victory in what promises to be a highly competitive match. As the players prepare for these finals, they are undoubtedly determined to give it their all and leave a lasting impression on the court.
