Multiple stores in Center City Philadelphia, including an Apple store, Lululemon, Footlocker, and Fine Wine & Good Spirits in Lawncrest, were looted on Tuesday night. The looting occurred following a protest over a judge dismissing charges in the case of Eddie Irizarry, a man who was fatally shot by the police six months ago. Police believe that the looters took advantage of the tension and chaos surrounding the protest.
According to reports, large crowds of juveniles were responsible for the looting spree. Over 100 juveniles were seen looting the Lululemon store, while other stores like the Apple store and Footlocker were also targeted. Videos and images captured the chaotic scenes, with people bragging about their looted items on social media platforms like Twitter.
The looting, which took place just minutes away from iconic historical sites like the Liberty Bell and the place where the Declaration of Independence was signed, has sparked outrage. Some individuals are pointing fingers at liberalism for the chaos, blaming it for the state of the country.
