Political legend Roger Stone, known for his sense of political fashion and as a top political advisor to Presidents Trump, Reagan, and Nixon, recently criticized Ron DeSantis’ campaign wardrobe.
The criticism came after DeSantis changed the timing of his Texas speech. Laura Loomer observed that the speech was moved from Wednesday afternoon to Wednesday morning. Charles Downs, a reporter for National File, pointed out that the change would allow DeSantis to wear his signature vest in the morning, as the weather would be more suitable. However, wearing the vest in the afternoon would be unbearable due to the heat. Responding to Downs’ observation, Stone tweeted, “Better yet why does he wear the dopey vest with his logo on it. I can’t recall any president who ever wore anything like that #Dopey.”

DeSantis’ wardrobe choices have been subject to mockery on social media. During a survey of hurricane damage, he wore white high-top boots with jeans and a vest, which many found ridiculous.
The comparison between the Senate dress code and DeSantis’ attire during the hurricane survey has also sparked discussion on social media. Users questioned how the two could be compared, showing a picture of DeSantis in white rain boots.
