Today marks the 24th anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been subjected to a vicious campaign of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since July 20, 1999. In contrast, the regime has employed its ever-growing security and surveillance apparatus to suppress them. Yet, Falun Gong practitioners persist in their efforts, encouraging others to become better individuals and utilizing innovative approaches like the “Quit the CCP” movement to educate people about the evil nature of the CCP. As a result, more than 415 million Chinese citizens have renounced their affiliation with the Communist Party and its associated organizations.
Furthermore, Falun Gong practitioners aim to revive and promote traditional culture through the captivating performances of Shen Yun Performing Arts, which stages shows in approximately 150 cities worldwide each year. In contrast, the CCP has systematically destroyed traditional culture throughout its history, using political campaigns to consolidate power and eliminate dissent.
The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong has had a profound impact on all of China. It has coerced individuals from all walks of life, including elites, professionals, and even school children, to denounce the spiritual practice. The same persecution methods honed against Falun Gong have been deployed against other targeted groups. The regime employs digital surveillance and censorship technologies, such as the “Golden Shield,” to control its citizens.
By mobilizing the entire state apparatus to persecute Falun Gong, the CCP has plunged China into a moral abyss. It has manipulated a significant portion of Chinese society to carry out the persecution and has promoted degenerate and immoral behaviors by waging a war against kindness and goodness.
Moreover, the CCP’s reach extends beyond its borders as it actively seeks to export its morally bankrupt model of techno-totalitarianism to the rest of the world. It exerts influence, both politically and economically, to coerce countries into aligning with its agenda.
The persecution of Falun Gong has played a significant role in shaping U.S.-China relations over the past two decades. While the CCP has attempted to silence discussion of Falun Gong, the United States has increasingly taken a direct stance against the regime’s persecution.
The CCP employs various incentives and disincentives to discourage media organizations, businesses, and governments worldwide from acknowledging and addressing the persecution of Falun Gong. Unfortunately, as the world turned a blind eye to this atrocity, the CCP’s influence infiltrated deeply into various realms.
Many of the world’s current problems can be attributed to the machinations of the CCP, which seeks to exterminate the human conscience and impose its will on the entire globe. The CCP’s involvement in subverting institutions in the United States, facilitating the spread of deadly fentanyl, covering up the outbreak of COVID-19, and supporting deadly regimes and terrorist groups worldwide exemplify its destructive influence.
While the world has gradually awakened to the threats posed by the CCP in recent years, Falun Gong practitioners have long been at the forefront of exposing these dangers. The realization of the CCP’s true nature and active opposition to it by all countries would profoundly transform the world.
