In a recent rally held in Council Bluffs, Iowa, former President Donald J. Trump brought to light Governor Ron DeSantis’ purported anti-farm policies, not only during his time as governor but also as a congressman and presidential candidate. The crowd present at the event passionately booed when DeSantis’ name was mentioned, expressing their disapproval of his supposed actions.

One of the policies that drew the loudest boos from the crowd was DeSantis’ endorsement of globalist trade policies championed by Paul Ryan. This non-tariff trade policy, known as the Ryan-DeSantis Free Trade Farm Policy, is believed to have detrimental effects on American farms. If implemented, it would allow foreign farms to flood the American market with products made using cheap labor, leading to the closure of many American farms. Surprisingly, the World Economic Forum has actively encouraged politicians to pursue these policies, even though they would have devastating consequences for local farmers.

Furthermore, Trump pointed out that DeSantis’ refusal to embrace tariffs would not only harm the farming industry but also have negative repercussions on other sectors of the economy. The former president received resounding cheers when he accused DeSantis of siding with the Chinese Communist Party, contrasting it with his own support for American farmers. This remark emphasized Trump’s belief that DeSantis’ policies do not align with the interests of the American people.

Prior to the rally, thousands of Iowans braved pouring rain and long queues to secure their spot at the event. Similarly, during a previous rally in South Carolina, attendees endured high temperatures and humidity. The high turnout and the energy displayed by the crowds indicate the dedication of Trump’s supporters and suggests that his impressive rally attendance will translate into primary and general election votes.

Following the rally, Trump made an impromptu visit to the Council Bluffs Dairy Queen, where he was greeted by a delighted overflow crowd. This warm reception reinforces the notion that Trump is the only presidential candidate resonating with voters, as no other candidate seems to connect with the people in the same manner.

In terms of polling, the Iowa Caucus, which serves as the first GOP primary event, currently indicates that Trump holds a significant lead of 25-40 points over DeSantis. These numbers affirm Trump’s popularity and lend credence to the idea that his policies, particularly regarding farming, are in alignment with the majority of voters in the Hawkeye state.

In summary, the recent Council Bluffs rally served as a platform for former President Donald J. Trump to expose Ron DeSantis’ purported anti-farm policies. The passionate boos from the crowd highlighted DeSantis’ endorsement of the globalist trade policies advocated by Paul Ryan, which many believe would be detrimental to American farmers. Trump’s visit to the Council Bluffs Dairy Queen further showcased his strong connection with voters, exemplifying his popularity and contrasting it with other candidates. As the Iowa Caucus looms, current polls indicate a significant lead for Trump, reaffirming the support he has garnered from the people.
