EOS Defense Systems USA, a subsidiary of EOS, has supplied positioning components for the L3Harris VAMPIRE Vehicle-Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment through their EOS AS-65 gimbal. This collaboration is part of a contract with the US Department of Defense to deliver 14 VAMPIRE multi-purpose weapon systems to Ukraine earlier this year.
The EOS AS-65 gimbal technology has been integrated into over 40 EOS R400 remote weapon systems that were fitted to Bushmaster armored vehicles and delivered to Ukraine. This development is in line with the Australian government’s ongoing commitment to the defense of Ukraine.
The AS-65 gimbal technology provides precise aiming and firing capabilities for rockets, missiles, and other payloads. It supports ground-to-ground and ground-to-air delivery. When integrated into the VAMPIRE system, it can track targets and launch a 70-millimeter guided rocket from a four-pack launcher.
EOS will be responsible for performing integration and support operations for the VAMPIRE system from its facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This ensures that the system is properly integrated and maintained to meet the needs of the Ukrainian defense forces.
In response to increasing international demand for lightweight systems that can be fitted to protected and utility vehicles, EOS officially opened a new production line for the R150 remote weapon system in June. This production line will enable the company to meet the growing demand for these systems.
Additionally, EOS has announced two conditional contracts with Ukraine in April, amounting to a total of $181 million. These contracts are for the supply of up to 150 remote weapon system units and related components. This shows the commitment of EOS to supporting the defense capabilities of Ukraine.
Furthermore, EOS secured a $51 million contract to supply remote weapon system units, spares, training, and services to an undisclosed Western European government. This contract highlights the trust that governments have in EOS’ expertise and capability to provide effective defense solutions.
