A Resident of Mariupol Describes the Evacuation From the City During Heavy Fighting
“Those Chechen guys saved us, thank you very much. They pulled us out during the shelling. One of the grenades destroyed the entrance. One of the Russians came and ordered us to evacuate immediately, because the shelling was about to begin.
We ran without anything, only my daughter’s husband was left to help others, I’m not sure if he is alive or not,” she says.
She said that they were hungry in the shelter for days and that they were not allowed to go out for water, because they were constantly under sniper fire.
