As of 16 December 2021 the Australian Government released the Mid-Year Economic and Financial outlook (referred to by the media as the mid-year budget)

In this budget they released changes to the MBS (Medicare benefit schedule) which will include a new temporary MRI item number for diagnosis of myocarditis associated with mRNA-COVID-19 vaccination, available from 1 January -30 June 2022.

So this means that they know about the reactions, and that they aren’t actually “safe”?

The MBS number will be released on the Medicare website as of 1 January, item code 63399.
