‘Breach of His Own Law’: Jim’s Mowing Founder Takes Lockdown Legal Battle to Supreme Court
By Sky News Australia
78,909 views May 20, 2022 Jim’s Mowing founder Jim Penman is taking a legal battle to the Supreme Court to get access to the health advice the Victorian government used to enforce the world’s longest COVID lockdown.
It comes after Victoria’s Civil and Administrative Tribunal knocked back a request to see the documents behind the decision.
“It’s a fight for the future because if the government can get away with this kind of outrageous actions once, they’ll do it again,” Mr Penman told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“This won’t be the last lockdown, this won’t be the last epidemic we suffer but it’s important that governments are held to the rule of law which they’re not.
“This is an absolutely outrageous decision, the government’s own law says that they will not take away our livelihood without good reason, so what’s your reason? They can’t tell us. They will not tell us.
“So, the reality is they had no reason at all. The Premier was in breach of his own law and the only way you can explain this ridiculous finding is that the Tribunal is simply – they’re minions of the state government, they do whatever the government tells them.”

Good on you, Jim! The courts are reminded that they are arbiters in these cases, they are not politicians!!!

This hidden health advice crap needs to end and those using it as a justification to exert control over the people need to be held accountable

Jim is Absolutely right to demand the obvious, public must know, it is not a game for beurocrats

Jim’s every word and fight for justice is absolutely correct.

Good on you, Jim. Right or wrong, surely we have the right to know what the decisions were based on. What was the real risk of someone mowing your lawn, in the fresh air, in total isolation from anybody else.

Jim is a legend, and if he starts running out of money, we need to start a legal fund on an uncensoreable site. Keep us posted.

I hope Jim’s Mowing and other like-minded people win their court challenges. Most of Chairman Dan’s edicts are unlawful and the judges of our courts need to see this.

Hold them to account, send Andrew’s to jail. This was the worst tyranny to sweep over the good people of Victoria.
