Chinese Drills around Taiwan in Response to “Deliberately Provocative” US Visit
Beijing sent frigates, bombers and fighter jets to the East China Sea in response to “… wrong signals by the US on the Taiwan issue,” as a bipartisan US delegation arrived in Taipei.
“The US’ bad actions and tricks are completely futile and very dangerous. Those who play with fire will burn themselves,” read a statement from the Chinese military.
Taiwan media reported a jet from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army entered Taiwan’s air defense zone Thursday – the 27th to do so this month.
