Daniel Andrews is a ‘slippery bloke’.
By Sky News
Sky News host Paul Murray says Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is trying to avoid questions after saying one in four infected Victorians were not at home, a claim which was proved wrong by police.
Victorian Police Deputy Commissioner Rick Nugent revealed only 42 Victorians have received fines for failing to isolate in Victoria since the pandemic began, proving Mr Andrew’s claim that hundreds had refused to isolate to be factually incorrect.
In a presser on Thursday, Mr Andrews was questioned by a reporter about why he gave Victorians incorrect information about self-isolation statistics and used them as impetus for stage four lockdowns and curfews.
Mr Andrews used a variety of tactics to avoid answering the questions, according to Mr Murray.
“This bloke is very slippery, he’s very good at what he does,” Mr Murray said.
“He’s very good at knowing how to get something on the TV news and knowing how to marginalize a young professional woman who’s trying to ask the premier a question he doesn’t want to answer.
“Do you trust Daniel Andrews or the Victoria Police to tell you the truth about what is really happening in the lockdown curfew city of Melbourne.”
