“Even if Russians Look European, They Are Not European”: German TV wades in on how some people are greater than others
Florence Gaub, a German political scientist, has gone about dehumanizing a whole nation on TV – claiming that Russians do not care about the concepts of life and death as much as ‘European’ people do.
“Even if Russians look European, they are not European,” she told the host Markus Lanz. “They think differently about violence or death… They have no concept of a liberal, post-modern life. A concept of life which each individual can choose.”
Later Gaub faced fierce a backlash online, including some commenters accusing her of ‘racism’. To that she responded by doubling down – presenting clusters about religious beliefs (which included other European nations) and some polls that EU media have claimed are false or lopsided.
