Here’s what others had to say:
@UnsaltedCracker267
If a member cannot decide on how to vote, it is just one more reason why there should be term limits. Not voting is refusing to do your job.
@rightwingkid92
The amount of refusing to vote lobbying, and insider trading is disgusting. Those people no longer represent us, they represent themselves.
@christophermerante4894
WE THE PEOPLE should tell the government, both sides of the aisle, to stop their power hungry games and start earning their money, their salaries, which comes from OUR taxes, and do what is RIGHT for the taxpayers! They work for US!! Stop wasting our time and money!!
@pd9605
Transparency and Term limits! Every elected official needs to have their voting records and financials posted to the public!
@launcesmechanist9578
That one Democrat who voted Y but then quickly went to N must have had someone looking over their shoulder and whispering “Don’t you dare”
@chuckbradley6887
There shouldn’t be a non vote option for anything being voted on in the House because each one of those Representatives are their districts voice. By choosing not to vote they are not representing their district’s voice and should be replaced with someone who will do the job.
@terrywtkns
CONGRESS MEMBERS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ABSTAIN FROM VOTING!!! WE SEND THEM THERE TO REPRESENT OUR STATES!!!!!
@danielmoore9950
Term limits and abolishing the ability to lobby will fix a lot of this. I think 8 years is long enough of a term for Congress and the Senate.
@margaretjiantonio939
Who exactly do these people represent? The lobbies, big business? They sure don’t represent the people. The only time they pay attention to the citizens is when it’s time to get re-elected.
@chriss6837
It’s about time, I can’t believe there are politicians who think this kind of behavior is ok. What Nixon did was nothing compared to this crook.
@sandyzalecki1145
who’s actually running the country for the people and not using their position as a bully pulpit for their competitors? This is insanity.
@thekbs1
Not voting is the same as not doing your job. Why are you even there if you’re not going to do your job? Eliminate Lobbyists and Initiate term limits. 4 years is long enough. They should be there to work, not to get rich. Don’t give them time to get too comfortable…
@joesalazar770
Our elected officials must be under an accurate accounting for there actions, and if they are deemed by the voters to not be representing there electors voices they must be removed and replaced. Term limits
Are a must.
@timwalden7441
Those seven who opted not to vote should be immediately ejected. A Representative of the people was sent to DC to be the voice of the people, not remain silent and uncommitted.
