That was painful for the Ukrainians. What is a long planned and prepared offensive that makes minimal territorial gains, while the enemy shrugs off the attacks and regains territory in counter-attacks? Simply a desaster.

Very important to remember that many of the Ukrainian soldiers being slaughtered through this incompetent counter-offensive are simply men forcibly picked off the streets and had no means to bribe officials.

Thank you for your update. I know we are talking proxy war here from US, but we also need to remember the other places they are bringing democracy and truth, like Syria….. The sacrificial blood addiction needs to be ended by us, the people, so we can all live in peace and be able to love and enjoy our families and the beautiful planet we are on.

Seems like Russia can achieve superior force almost anytime it chooses. That may not be factual, but to me they are testing various areas. In those areas they are routinely successful. Just an observation, I could be wrong.

This all reminds me of that movie 300 when Leonidas asked those other fellows “What’s your profession”… The Ukrainians recruited/kidnapped weavers, potters, farmers and whoever else they could find and expected them to fight instead of professional soldiers like Spartans but as we all know the Russians killed most of them… It’s starting to look like the Ukrainians are going to fight until there’s only one man left… The weasel himself!

After months of following the developments on the battlefield in Ukraine, I have come to a unique conclusion from each strategy. The characteristics of the defense and attack of the Ukrainian military are more dominant in cross defense and branching attacks (NATO doctrine) while the Russian military more dominant crescent strategy, defend as well as attack (optimizing the strength of the flanks) with the aim of siege / doctrine ancient indian style strategy or crab claw strategy . Besides that, the hallmark of Wagner’s mercenary strategy is the combination of the Tunisian siege (American piston force in Africa) and the scorched earth style of Stalingrad (Stalingrad conflagration).
