People who’ve been Peacefully and Safely Attending Protests have been Chased down by Police.
By Amnesty International Australia
People who’ve been peacefully and safely attending protests have been chased down by police on horseback, knocked to the ground – even injured.
University students have been arrested for gathering in groups over 20, even though classes of 30+ are allowed.
Don’t let the NSW police keep chipping away at your right to protest. Sign the petition to take action now..
Here’s what others had to say:

Universities are just a breeding ground for socialists.

Are you telling us the whole truth? Is NSW Police chasing down protestors per se or those who illegally block traffic, create chaos and harass legitimate pedestrians and traffic going about their business? The right to protest is not a right to disrupt others. Let the protestors gather in parks and speechify all day if they want. We have had enough of these so called protestors creating mayhem in Brisbane CBD as well during peak hours.
It is not the police of some banana republic such as Tajikistan that we are talking about; I am with the NSW Thin Blue Line!

Can someone tell me when a protest actually changed the minds of the majority?

You mean protect your right to protest what we want you to protest
Adam Clews
I’ll take not the way it happened for $500 thanks Jerry.

It’s the idiots at the top of the tree who are responsible for all this stuff. We are just sheep that do what we are told. Shame that it has come to this.
Simon Green
They don’t even know what they are protesting about
Ron Caterson
They may teach you about your Rights at University, but perhaps you should learn about your Obligations.

Protest at the footy. At least they are making money off you, that’s all they want.
