Smart Water in NSW Country Towns, Where Else? Smart Resilient, You Pick the Word?
By Staff Reporter
I live in Mudgee (used to be on a sheep grazing property, but now in town) and recently noticed that what used to be a water filling station on the way out of town, heading towards Gulgong, where you could just turn up to, and fill up whatever containers you wanted to fill up, is now a registered filling station.
(This filling station used to often have people there during droughts, presumably getting water for their households, possibly a few animals etc… But the station is used all year around for people who want some water.) (Mudgee local council is “Mid-Western Regional Council”)
Now… you have to be “registered” to get some water.
What’s more, they recommend you “Download the Smart Cities App” to register.
That got me wondering what a Smart City was (Mudgee, where else?) and found out that Smart Cities are also Resilient Cities… hmmm!
Here are a few links showing the connection between Smart Cities and Resilient Cities.

Includes Melbourne and Sydney, as you know… and now Mudgee??? Where else???
