Ursula Von der Lyen sat in the Irish Parliament this year blowing smoke up everyone about how incredible Ireland was as a member of the EU, and in relation to Ukraine how Ireland had a special understanding of it’s plight as it had had to “fight for it’s own right to exist.” But I guess the right to exist and self determination doesn’t apply to Palestinians. We are witnessing an absolute trashing of what the West pretends stand for. The Geneva convention isn’t open to cherry picking the bits out that are inconvenient.

I was invited to contact work and live in the US, my response was thank you for wanting to have. However with my background as an Arab, the way the US has its Middle East policy and the poor social laws you have in the US, the US is not a country that I desire to live in. Shortly after I was laid off, and my appraisal was negative that I was not a good coworker. Thus American double standard runs through politics and business. And they do not accept being criticised.

I’ve observed a lot of nervous condemnation of support for Palestinian rights as if the condemner is afraid that this is the time that opinion shifts to opposing Israeli oppression. What reassures me is the strength of the pro-Palestinian protests.

If Israel would respect international law, maybe Russia wouldn’t violate it. Since we would probably have a road map how to reconcile these problems.
Didn’t UN come up with some resolutions what Israel should do?
Didn’t Russia asked UN several times to do something about Ukraine’s actions towards Russian minority within Ukraine?
And doesn’t USA prefer to use NATO alliance to deal with international problems instead of UN?

The tragedy is that democrats and republicans are the same breed when it comes to the fate of Palestinians . Of course Palestinians have the right to resist occupation.. Palestinians are also Christians , Christians were once 10% of the Palestinian population. Every life matters, regardless of caste creed colour gender or community. The fact that Jews have suffered in the past, doesn’t give them the right to take revenge on Palestinians , rather they should learn from history..Sat Sri Akal, Salam, Shalom, Shanti.
