Trump Team Banned from Debate Backstage; 250M Views on Twitter; Vivek Slides Away With Victory: Polls
By The Epoch Times
On Wednesday night, the country had the opportunity to hear from all of the major Republican candidates running for president. On Fox News, you had the Republican debate, featuring eight candidates. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump skipped the debate and instead aired a pre-recorded interview that he did with Tucker Carlson on Twitter.
It was a little odd watching this Republican debate without President Trump being there because he is leading in the polls by 40 to 60 points. And so, whereas normally, you’re watching a presidential debate with the understanding that one of these candidates is actually going to be the nominee, in this case, it was like watching eight people compete for a participation trophy.
Also, the questions that Fox News chose not to ask also raised a bit of a question mark—for example, that there wasn’t a single question about election integrity.
Here’s what others had to say:

The republican party is dead to me. Time for a real third-party, who represents the vast majority of America.

So, Asa wouldn’t stand up for Trump.
AND, Asa pays people to vote for him.
What does that say about Asa?
Thumbs down, ay!
And poor Chris Christie…he got his one shot at a good line and still it fell flat.
I didn’t watch either the “debate” or the interview.
Why should I waste my time on that when I can get the best of it from everybody who covered it.
Gimme one a dohs Trump Mug Shot Shirts!
I’ll pay for dat!

What a fabulous team Trump and Vivek will make in the White House. Once Vivek does 4 years as VP under Trumps mentoring, he can take the reins in 2028 right through to 2036.

I quit Fox Nation as soon as I found out they ditched Tucker Carlson. I try to avoid propaganda and sadly, Fox, has gone the way of the wild goose. The Murdoch family has zero respect for their “former “ audience. They just don’t give a damn. I can think for myself. I don’t need our uniparty. Overlords to spoon feed me their activist propaganda. Pluto TV has some great Fox alternative programs, RAV, First TV, OAN, and Newsmax, that are more representative of a true conservative nature.

It appears that only those associated with candidates on the debate stage were permitted to enter the spinroom. Seems reasonable to me. Trump had the option to participate and chose not to. Larry Elder did not qualify based on RNC requirements. Only thing that appeared odd to me was that those with Vivek campaign credentials were not permitted entry. I don’t think it was un-American that Trump Jr was not allowed entry. If I had shown up, I would have been denied entry also.
