The EU has called on citizens to drive less, don’t bother with aircon or heating and work from home as much as possible. The new ‘drive’ is all about cutting dependence on Russian energy.
While European nations struggle to find an alternative supplier, it is instead asking citizens to make major cutbacks in a plan called “Playing My Part.” Here’s what it entails:
▪️Heat homes less in winter, keep air conditioning down in summer
▪️Drive slower on highways, restrict car aircon (uses fuel)
▪️Use the train instead of plane
▪️Take public transport, walk or cycle
▪️Promote car-free Sundays
So tighten the screw on Russia, by being cold in winter and too hot in summer. Oh, and forget you ever had a car!
