A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Australia on Sunday when a US military helicopter crashed, leaving at least three service members dead and several others injured. Last month, the two nations also conducted the Talisman Sabre military drills, involving more than 34,000 personnel. These drills were paused following another helicopter crash, in which an Australian MRH-90 Taipan helicopter went down off the country’s northern coast, resulting in the loss of four soldiers.
